The Jacqueline School of Dance established for more than forty years moved to a lovely new building at Willersey, on the edge of the Cotswolds in 1990.

We offer tuition in classical ballet and modern Jazz for children and adults of all ages.
The aim of the school is to combine enjoyment and the love of dance with good classical training.

The school has a happy and safe atmosphere as the children meet new friends and learn new skills.

The classes are enormous fun with our dedicated teachers.

Ballet Classes promote poise, grace and good posture as the child grows in confidence.

🌸  Special Classes for Little Ones   🌸  Saturday Morning Ballerina Classes 🌸

      🌷   Pre - School Ballet

Happy dancers having lots of fun

Fun Classes for children 3 years and over, with the first basic steps to lovely music.

When taught correctly, children can benefit from studying ballet, it develops  coordination of the mind and body, improves posture and strengthens core muscles, keeping pupils fit and active.

Ballet builds confidence and promotes self - discipline, giving children a sense of movement, rhythm and an appreciation of music.

Our little Ballerinas rehearsing for a stage performance

The children make new friends and develop wonderful imagination in the magical world of dance.

🌷     Pre - Primary and Primary in Dance
The Pre - Primary and Primary Classes are held Tuesday after school and Saturday Mornings for children aged 5 - 9 years.

The Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus is taught with lots of mime and the use of props. The exercises help the children to progress to the grades and give a feeling of joy as they dance to the inspiring music.

Pupils are invited to enter RAD examinations by their teacher, guidance in this matter is very important.

A list of uniform, and regulation footwear can be found in the parents waiting room at the studio.

The Royal Academy of Dance is one of the leading organisations in the world for education and the training of dance.  Dame Darcey Bussell  CBE is our president.

The Academy is particularly sensitive to the training of young people. Their bodies are unformed and can be damaged easily. Consequently the Syllabus has been devised with extreme care. It progresses a child in slow stages, demanding no more of a young body than it can easily cope with. Then in time students can move on to accomplish high standards of technique and agility in the grades.

Ballet Grades 1 - 5

Ballet Grades are enjoyed by pupils at the school, giving recognised educational qualifications on the Regulated Framework (RQF) in England by the Office of Qualifications  Examination Regulator (Ofqual)
